Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said he has ordered a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the firing incident in the Dhalpur area of ​​Assam’s Darrang district.

Two civilians were killed and nine policemen were injured in the incident.

Talking to reporters here today regarding the matter, the Chief Minister of Assam said, “We have ordered a CBI inquiry into the matter and we have to find out who even after a clear agreement with the campaign organization for Anti-encroachment Thousands gathered.

Violence broke out during a drive to remove encroachment on Thursday at Sipajhar in Assam’s Darrang district.

Darrang SP Sushant Biswa Sarma had said that the people present at the spot pelted stones and attacked the policemen.
