After facing 368 balls, he completed his double century with the help of 19 and 2 sixes. Facing 403 balls, he scored 231 runs with the help of 21 fours and 3 sixes.
First Indian to score a double century at Lord’s.
Pujara has become the first Indian batsman to score a double century at the historic ground of Lads. Although it was not an international match, no Indian had done this feat on this ground till now.
Vinoo Mankad scored 184 runs in 1952, which was the highest score by an Indian on this ground. Dilip Vengsarkar had scored 157 runs in 1982, it comes second on the list.
The innings of 131 played by Sourav Ganguly in 1996 is the third highest international innings of Indian batting at Lord’s.
