Central Vista Project: Project work to continue, Delhi HC dismisses plea and fined 1 lakh.

The work of Central Vista, the ambitious project of the ruling Narendra Modi government under the leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party, will continue.

The Delhi High Court on Monday dismissed the petition to stop the work of Central Vista, questioning the intention of the petitioner Anya Malhotra and also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh.

In this way, on Monday, the Delhi High Court also decided that the work of Central Vista will continue continuously. Earlier, on May 17, the High Court reserved the verdict after hearing the petition of the petitioner Anya Malhotra.

In the petition filed in the Delhi High Court, it was asserted that no such project should be approved to go ahead in this era of coronavirus.

It was also said in the petition that the lives of many people are being endangered due to a project.

At the same time, during the last hearing, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the Central Government, had demanded that the petition be dismissed.

It was said from the Center that all the corona protocols are being followed while working on this project.

At the same time, questioning the intention of the petitioner, the Solicitor General had said that the public interest is very selective, he does not care about the laborers working on the other project, who are probably running only 2 km away from it.

A new Parliament building and new residential complex will be constructed under the Central Vista project.

Several new office buildings with the residence of the Prime Minister and Vice President and the Central Secretariat for the offices of the Ministry are to be built.

The Central Vista project was announced in September 2019. The foundation stone of the project was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 10 December 2020.

The construction of a new parliament building is proposed in this redevelopment project. Under this, a central secretariat will also be constructed.
