Central Government And Assam Have Begun The Negotiation Process With The KLO

Central Government and Assam have begun the negotiation process with the KLO militant organization, with the time being fixed.

The central government has begun the negotiation process with the self-proclaimed Commander-in-Chief of the Kamtapur Liberation Organization (KLO) Jeeban Singha Koch and several other leaders to get out of the jungle and join the mainstream.

A senior Assam police official said the Assam Center and authorities will hold talks with members of the Kamtapur Liberation Organization, the dates of the negotiations being finalized.

“The authorities have proactively begun out negotiations with the KLO,” he added.

Earlier, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said it is great news that Jiban Singh Koch has returned to the mainstream. Sarma said, “Jeeban Singha returned to the mainstream a few days ago.”

“Let him rest for a while and then he will discuss it with the government.”

KLO is demanding a separate state.

It is known that KLO is demanding a separate state for the Koch Rajbongshi community. The community is spread over parts of North West Bengal and Assam demanding a separate state for Kamtapur.

Earlier in December 2022, Chief Minister Sarma had said in a tweet that while continuing the efforts of the Government of India to restore permanent peace in the region.

They would like to resolve all issues at the earliest through political dialogues and bring them back into the mainstream. I welcome the KLO leadership’s desire to participate.

NIA Action: NIA announces 5 lakh reward for arresting PFI accused of killing BJP leader.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a reward of lakhs for the arrest of two members of the Popular Front of India (PFI). NIA Kodje Mohd Sherif who is 53 years old.

The second member is Masood K A, who is 40 years old. The NIA has declared a reward of Rs 5 lakh each against both of them. Both these PFI accused are residents of the Kannada district of Karnataka.

Accused of the murder of BJP Yuva Morcha district secretary Praveen Nettaru.

Both these members of PFI are still absconding from the grip of NIA. Both these accused are residents of Bellare in Karnataka.

Both these accused had murdered BJP Yuva Morcha District Secretary Praveen Nettaru on July 26, 2022.

Both these members of PFI had killed Secretary Praveen Nettaru by using sharp weapons to spread terror among the people of the society.
