Central And State Governments Took Steps Aganist Covid

Central and State Governments took steps aganist Covid. These steps by the central and state governments have resulted in the fall in the second wave of Corona.

The second wave of Corona in India is now in decline. During this period, cases have come down from 4 lakhs to 2.67 lakhs now.

According to experts, if this phase of decline continues and all is well, then this wave will go away within a week. Let us tell you that the outbreak of the second wave in India was three times more than the first.

During the first wave, a maximum of 97 thousand cases was reported in India on a single day in September.

Despite the continuous decline in the second wave, the experts are not denying that the danger has been averted. Meanwhile, the third wave of the Corona epidemic also continues to be feared.

However, in view of the third wave, the State and Central Government have been determined to make their preparations more robustly.

At the same time, due to the fall in the second wave, there have been many such decisions made for the Center and the States, due to which such a thing has become possible.

It is necessary to remind you here that some time ago the Center had given the authority to the states that they can take steps at any level on their own in view of the epidemic.

The states have used this right very well during this period. States have empowered the District Magistrates under it to decide to impose partial or complete lockdown in view of cases of corona infection at their level.

It happened as well. Such things were seen in Maharashtra where a district-level lockdown was imposed. Apart from this, it was also adopted in some other states including Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh.

Talking about the central government, during this period,  PM continuously reviewed the epidemic and interacted directly with the CMs of the states, even if necessary, from the DMs of the districts most affected by the epidemic.

He said that if his district was able to overcome this epidemic, he would be able to overcome this epidemic nationwide. Apart from this, directions were also given to the states from time to time by the Center.

The government also heeded the advice of the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization in which they had asked for a 3-4 month gap between the two doses of Covidshield.

The central government procured the oxygen concentrator in the midst of a worsening second wave of Corona and made it available to patients.

The central government should take all possible measures in the midst of deaths due to lack of oxygen, due to which the lives of crores of people could be saved.

The center took the help of Railways to supply oxygen to the states. Help from abroad was immediately provided to hospitals.

The center also worked on a policy to rapidly vaccinate people to prevent epidemics during this period. As of May 19, 18,58,09,302 doses have been given in the country according to official figures.

There are 13,12,155 doses more on Wednesday than on Tuesday. The Center has made proper provision of vaccines for the states to carry out vaccination smoothly.

At the same time, it has been tightened against those who market black drugs and life-saving instruments.

The Center not only expressed its concerns about the Kumbh Mela in Uttarakhand but also visited Uttarakhand on March 16.

The Central Government team led by the Director of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) to review the arrangements.
