The sixth meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is taking place through video conferencing.

During this, Prime Minister Modi said that there is a need for the Center and States to work together to make it easy of doing business in India and to promote economic development.

He said that the private sector should be given full opportunity to be a part of the government’s self-reliant India program.

He said that the positive response to the Union Budget shows that the country wants to move forward on the path of rapid development.

Referring to the agricultural sector, he said that efforts should be made to reduce the production and import of agricultural commodities like edible oil. This will benefit the farmers.

Budget told the mood of the country

Addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Modi said that the positive response to this year’s budget has revealed what the ‘Mood of the Nation’ is. The country has made up its mind to move fast.

The country does not want to waste time now. The young mind of the country is playing a big role in making up the nation’s mind. Funds for infrastructure are also being discussed in this time budget.

This spending on infrastructure will work to advance the country’s economy on many levels and provide many employment opportunities.

He also said that the self-reliant India campaign is the way to build an India that produces not only for its needs but also for the world and these productions also stood the test of world superiority.

Center and states need to work together: An unprecedented change was seen in the lives of the poor.

During this period, Prime Minister Modi said that in the last few years, the opening of bank accounts, increase in immunization and health facilities, free electricity connection, and free gas connection have seen unprecedented changes in the lives of the poor.

Since 2014, more than 20 million houses have been constructed, including villages and cities. A campaign to build houses with modern technology is going on in 6 cities of the country.

In a month, new technology will create new models of good houses. Shortage of water and disease caused by polluted water should not be an obstacle in the development of people, in this direction, work is being done in mission mode.

Since the water mission, more than 30 million rural houses have been connected with piped water supply.

The state and the center worked together in the Corona period

At the beginning of his speech, Prime Minister Modi said that we saw in the Corona period how the state and the central government worked together.

This made the country successful. A good image of India was built in the world. Today, when the country is going to complete 75 years of its independence, the meeting of the Governing Council has become more important.

I would urge the states that committees should be formed by connecting all the people of the society in their respective states for 75 years of independence.

He said that the foundation of India’s development is that the Center and the States work together and move towards a certain direction and make Cooperative Federalism more meaningful.

Not only this, but we must also try to bring competitive, cooperative federalism not only in the states but also in the districts.

PM Modi spoke about farmers.

Prime Minister Modi said that today we bring edible oil worth 65,000-70,000 crores from outside, despite being called an agricultural country.

We can stop this. Money can go to our farmers’ accounts. Our farmer is entitled to this money, but for this, we have to make our plans that way. For this, it is necessary to guide the farmers.

PLI scheme started for various sectors

The Prime Minister said that the Central Government has introduced PLI schemes for various sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to increase manufacturing in the country.

States should take full advantage of this scheme and attract more and more investment. States should also reap the benefits of reducing corporate tax rates.

What is the meeting’s agenda.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the agenda of the meeting includes discussions on agriculture, infrastructure, manufacturing, human resource development, grassroots service, and health and nutrition.

Apart from PM Modi, Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors of states and union territories are participating in this.

Ladakh involved in meeting for the first time.

According to the PMO, Ladakh is joining this meeting for the first time after becoming a union territory. It also includes the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.

This time, other union territories headed by administrators have also been invited to join it. The meeting is also attended by ex-officio members of the Governing Council.

Union Minister, Deputy Chairman Rajiv Kumar, NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant, and other senior officials of the Government of India.

Mamta Banerjee will not be involved

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will not attend the meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog. Even before this, she has not attended the meetings of NITI Aayog, which meaningless.

They say that this institution has no financial powers and cannot provide any help in the state’s schemes. A senior Trinamool Congress leader has also said that Mamata may not attend the NITI Aayog meeting.
