CDS General Bipin Rawat: Cremated With Full Military Honors

CDS General Bipin Rawat Funeral: The brave son of India merged with the five elements, saluted with 17 guns.

Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika, who lost their lives in the helicopter crash, were cremated with full military honors at the cremation ground at Berar Square in Delhi Cantt at 5 pm on Friday.

Here, along with giving a 17-gun salute to General Rawat, 33 army personnel gave their last farewell.

With the moist eyes of the people present in the cremation ground, the whole of India was giving the last farewell to this brave officer.

During the funeral, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, many former army chiefs, officers from France, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and other countries as well as eight hundred army personnel were present.

Earlier at 9 in the morning, the last rites of Brigadier LS Lidder, who lost his life in the same accident, were also performed here.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had reached the cremation ground early in the morning to pay tribute to Brigadier Lidder.

The last journey started at around 2.15 pm from General Rawat’s residence on Kamaraj Marg. Paying the highest respect to General Rawat, his body was brought to Berar Square on a gun carriage.

In front and behind the gun carriage, 99-99 soldiers of the three forces were walking together.

At the same time, thousands of people were paying tribute to their brave son with the tricolor in their hands and the slogan of Bharat Mata ki Jai.

Daughters Kritika and Tarini lit fire.

The body reached Berar Square at 3:35 pm. After reaching the mortal remains, troops of all three parts of the army saluted. After this, the body was taken to the cremation ground.

Here for about an hour, former army officers, army officers, and other prominent people paid tribute. After this, daughters Kritika and Tarini lit fire to General Bipin Rawat and Madhulika Rawat.

In the morning, Brigadier LS Lidder was also lit by his daughter. During this everyone’s eyes were moist.
