CBSE Added These New Subjects In 9th, And 11th, Other Subjects Will Have To Be Studied Apart From English

CBSE added these new subjects in 9th, and 11th, reading history, and what other subjects will have to be studied apart from English.

Important information for the students studying in CBSE board-affiliated schools. CBSE Board has added some new subjects for classes IX and XI. Although these subjects are skill courses.

Under this, five subjects have been added for classes 3 and 11th in class 9th. The board has taken initiatives in its affiliated schools as per the guidelines of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020).

The new skill subjects that the CBSE board has currently introduced for Class 9 include Design Thinking and Innovation, Foundation Skills for Sciences (Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology), and Electronics and Hardware.

The subjects added for class 11 include Design Thinking and Innovation, Physical Activity Trainer, Land Transportation Associate, and Electronics and Hardware.

This means that now these students studying in 9th and 11th will have to study these skill courses in addition to other subjects including Hindi, History, Geography, and English included in the main subjects.

However, students should keep in mind that all these are optional, so keep in mind that it is not necessary to take this subject.

CBSE board currently runs 22 skill courses in class 9 and class 10. Whereas, 43 skill courses are taught for classes up to class 11 and class 12.

At present, more than 27 lakh students are studying skills subjects in about 22,000 schools affiliated to CBSE.

These are the new courses.

Electronics & Hardware.

Physical activity trainer.

Land Transportation Associate.

Electronics & Hardware.

CBSE-affiliated schools are not required to pay any fee for skill subjects at any level. For more details, students can check the related notification on the official website.

The CBSE board has released the date sheet for classes 10th and 12th. Board exams are starting on February 15, 2023.
