CBI registers FIR in illegal phone tapping of NSE officers-employees, and raids at 18 places.

Central probe agency CBI is carrying out a search operation at 18 places on National Stock Exchange after registering a case in connection with the illegal phone tapping of several employees and officials.

According to senior sources in the CBI Headquarters, this is a completely new case of illegal phone tapping related to the National Stock Exchange.

In this case, many key accused including former NSE chief Chitra Ramakrishna, and former Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey have been named as accused.

However, a case has already been registered against these two main accused by CBI and ED and an investigation has been done into the matter.

CBI registers FIR in illegal phone tapping: Last week, retired IPS officer Sanjay Pandey was questioned at the ED headquarters in Delhi.

According to CBI sources, in the 18 locations where the search operation is being carried out, 5 locations in Delhi-NCR, 8 in Mumbai, 1 in Chandigarh, and 1 in Uttar Pradesh, 1 in Rajasthan, and 2 places in Pune.

This action of CBI is being done after the order of the Ministry of Home Affairs.  In fact, senior officials of the Union Home Ministry have recently received some such information.

According to which the phones of many people on the National Stock Exchange were illegally tapped from 2009 to 2017.

In this phone tapping case, the role of many other policemen including former Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey is very suspicious.

Therefore, in view of the seriousness of this matter, a letter was written to the CBI and it was ordered to take appropriate legal action at the earliest.

After this, after registering a case under several special sections, the search operation is carried out at 18 places.

During the search operation, very important evidence and documents have been collected by the investigating agency.

Apart from this many electronic devices have been confiscated after interrogation by the investigating agency, which will be investigated later.
