CBI Interrogated Riya Chakraborty For The Second Day
CBI interrogated Riya Chakraborty for the second consecutive day. Rhea Chakraborty, the main accused in the case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, has gone to the DRDO guest house for questioning for the second consecutive day. Officials of the Central Investigation Agency are staying here. Riya arrived here under the protection of the Mumbai Police.
Giving information about this, a Mumbai Police official said that Riya has been provided security at the request of CBI, today is the ninth day of the CBI investigation. At the same time, Sushant’s friend Siddharth Pithani, cook Neeraj Singh and another actor’s staff Keshav Bachner are also being questioned. Earlier on Friday, CBI interrogated Riya for the first time. This inquiry lasted for about 10 hours.
Riya is accused of abetting Sushant to suicide. The CBI team has been in Mumbai for the last nine days in connection with the investigation of the Sushant case. On Thursday, the investigation team recorded statements of Riya’s brother Shouvik Chakraborty for more than eight hours.
In this case, the CBI has so far recorded statements of Pithani, Sushant’s cook Neeraj Singh and household assistant Dipesh Sawant among many others. It is known that before the CBI took over the investigation, in this case, the Mumbai Police have also recorded the statement of Riya Chakraborty. Sushant was found dead in his apartment flat in Bandra, Mumbai on 14 June.
ED of the Goa businessman summoned
On the other hand, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned a Goa businessman Gaurav Arya in a money laundering case related to Sushant’s death case. Officials said that Gaurav, who runs the hotel, has been asked to appear in the agency’s office at Ballard Estate in Mumbai on 31 August. Saman is booked at his hotel as Gaurav could not be contacted.
The ED has received some mobile phone messages indicating that Sushant and Riya had discussed Arya with banned drugs in 2017. However, in a conversation with some news channels, Arya has said that he never had anything to do with the drug trade. At the same time, the Narcotics Control Bureau has also started collecting details in this case.
