CBI Conducted Raids In The Srinagar RTO Office

CBI conducted raids in the Srinagar RTO office, and some officers of the department may be charged.

The Anti-Corruption Wing of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Srinagar, conducted raids at the Transport Office on Friday morning.

The raids were carried out on the frequent complaints of fraud and fraud in the Regional Transport Office, Srinagar.

During this, CBI teams started the investigation by seizing a large number of documents and other records. However, no arrest has been made yet. The CBI proceedings continued till noon.

According to the information received by official sources, complaints were being received continuously that new registration and re-registration of different types of vehicles from other states were going on in connivance with the officials of the Regional Transport Office, Srinagar.

In this, the CBI had also got information about the nexus between some touts and officials. On the same basis, raids were conducted in the transport office.

It is being told that many incriminating documents have been seized during the raids. However, its complete information has not been made public yet.

It is being told that the CBI has got evidence of rigging going on in the Transport Department from the recovered documents. Based on that, many arrests can happen soon.

Some officers may also be punished. RTO Kashmir confirmed the CBI raid and said that the action has been taken in the early hours of Friday.

During this, many important documents have been confiscated for investigation.

Full cooperation is being given to CBI in the investigation. Action will also be taken against the officers of the department involved in forgery and rigging.

Three people returning from Srinagar to Punjab died in a road accident near Jambu Zoo Nagrota.

Three people were killed in a car accident near Jambu Zoo in Nagrota on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in the early hours of Friday.

The three-car occupants who died were residents of Punjab. The exact cause of the accident is not yet known.

But the police are assuming that the driver of the car may have had a nap, due to which the car went uncontrollably and fell into a 30-35 feet deep gorge.
