BSF Arrested Bangladeshi Citizens Crossing Border illegally

BSF arrested Bangladeshi citizens, including broker, crossing the border illegally: West Bengal.

Vigilant personnel of the 99th Corps of the Border Security Force (BSF) in Border Outpost Runghat area in North 24 Parganas district of Bengal have arrested an Indian broker, including Bangladeshi citizens.

These Bangladeshi citizens wer trying to cross the international border illegally with the help of their Indian broker.

In a statement issued by the BSF, on 29 April, the Intelligence Branch of the Border Security Force was reported to have illegally crossed the international border from the area of ​​the border outpost Runghat.

On the basis of which a special ambush was placed in the area.

At around 9:30 pm, the ambushed jawans saw the movement of two suspicious persons from India. As soon as he reached near, the soldiers surrounded him and arrested him.

In the initial interrogation, the arrested persons declared their identity as Mohammed Ibrahim Khalil (26), District Laxmipur, Bangladesh and Aaron Sheikh (39), Village Runghat, Thana Bagda, District North 24 Parganas, West Bengal.

Bangladeshi citizen came to India in 2013, got fake passport of Saudi Arabia through fake documents.

On further questioning, Ibrahim Khalil revealed that he had come to India via Benapole in 2013 with the help of an Indian broker to get fake documents and forged a fake passport of Saudi Arabia.

For this work, he had given seven lakh Bangladeshi helpers. He returned to India on 20 April 2021. Arriving at Kolkata Airport, he came to Runghat with the help of a broker named Vinod, where he contacted Aaron Sheikh to cross the border.

For this work, he gave Rs 15,000 to Vinod. Aaron said that he helps smugglers to cross the border through human trafficking and illegal means.

Today he has received 200 rupees for this work. Here, the arrested persons along with the seized goods have been handed over to the police station Bagda for further legal proceedings.

Strict measures on the border to stop infiltration and smuggling.

Here, Sanjeev Kumar, commanding officer of the 99th Corps, BSF, told that Border Security Forces are taking strict steps to prevent infiltration and human trafficking along the India-Bangladesh border.

Due to which the persons and brokers involved in such crimes are experiencing a lot of difficulties and some of them are being caught and they are getting punished according to the law
