BJP’s Attack On Congress: ABG Case Is Example Of Its Corruption

BJP’s attack on Congress: BJP said that the ABG case is another example of Congress’s corruption.

The BJP on Wednesday attacked Congress over the country’s biggest bank scam involving ABG Shipyard.

The BJP described the matter as yet another example of Congress’s blatant corruption.

BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi told a press conference here that the scam happened during the Congress-led UPA government. The Modi government detected this and took action.

He said Congress has exposed itself by associating the matter with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government, as the probe has revealed that the scam took place during the UPA regime.

Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala called it the biggest bank scam. He said that this case is another example of the open corruption of the BJP.

BJP’s attack on Congress: The BJP spokesperson said, ‘Congress should tell us what was its role in this biggest scam?

It is believed that a former political advisor to the Congress President had close links with the promoters of the company.

Quoting the CBI report, Trivedi said the Rs 22,000-crore scam started in 2012 and the loan account of the company was restructured in March 2014 during the last days of the UPA government.

He said that this discrepancy was detected in the audit report in 2016 and the BJP government took action against it.

Hitting out at Surjewala, the BJP spokesperson asked whether the harsh words he used against PM Modi apply to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi as well.

Let us tell you that the CBI had said on Tuesday that it has issued a look-out notice against the former chairman and managing director of ABG Shipyard and eight other accused in this case.

BJP’s taunt said- Congress should stop dreaming on the day of forming government in Goa.

More than 78 percent voting has been recorded in the Goa Assembly elections this time. The opposition party Congress has staked claim to form its government in Goa.

At the same time, the ruling BJP has taken a jibe at Congress’s claim. BJP said that Congress should stop daydreaming.

Goa BJP President Sadanand Shet Tavanade said in a statement, “Congress should stop dreaming. The greed for power is clearly visible from his statements.

As I said earlier also the huge turnout shows that people have voted for BJP. Our victory and defeat of Congress will be clear on March 10.
