“There is no doubt that Taliban-controlled Afghanistan poses a direct threat to our national security interests as well as to our allies and West and Central Asian partners,” Marco Rubio said.

“The Biden administration’s disastrous decision to withdraw has made Afghanistan a safe haven for terrorists who hate America,” he said.

Four senators have also written to Secretary of State Tony Blinken demanding that the Taliban be designated a terrorist organization.
