Striker Luc de Jong’s only goal in the first half helped Barcelona beat Marloca 1-0 in the Spanish league La Liga.
14 players were not included in Barcelona’s team due to the problem of corona and injury. After the win, Barcelona jumped two places to fifth place with 31 points.
Earlier, for Barcelona, de Jong gave the team the lead in the 44th minute by scoring a goal from Oscar Mingueja.
This is a crucial time for de Jong as there are reports that Barcelona are looking to move him from the team this month.
After de Jong, however, both the teams could not score other goals till the last whistle and Barcelona won.
In other matches, Real Sociedad and Alaves ended in a 1–1 draw, while Celta Vigo beat Real Betis 2–0.

Paris, ap. Fraser Hornby’s lone goal in injury time helped Hornby beat Thaon 1–0 in the French Cup match.
Both teams failed to score till the last minute but in injury time, Hornby scored to give Reims victory.
Earlier, Reims’ Hugo Eketike was shown a red card in the 66th minute, allowing the team to play the rest of the match with 10 players.
Getafe halts Real Madrid’s winning campaign.

Despite the loss, however, Real Madrid remains on top with 46 points from 20 matches, while Getafe’s team is at number 16.
Earlier, Enes Unal from Getafe hit a shot from the center of the box in the ninth minute of the match which went straight past the goal post.
Real Madrid, however, had a good chance in the 17th minute but Luka Modric’s kick hit the goal post. Real Madrid’s team had to face the last defeat on October 3.
Espanyol then defeated Real Madrid 2–1. The team then registered 13 victories in all competitions and ended in a draw with two matches.
Chelsea makes a spectacular comeback to hold Liverpool to level.
London, Reuters. Chelsea’s team made a spectacular comeback after being two goals behind to restrict Liverpool to a 2-2 draw in the English Premier League, a direct advantage for Manchester City.
Following the result of this match, the top-ranked City has a 10-point lead over second-ranked Chelsea.
The city has 53 points from 21 matches while Chelsea has 43 points from the same number of matches. Liverpool is third with 42 points from 20 matches.
Four goals of the match were scored in the first half itself. Liverpool got off to a good start. Sadio Mane opened the team’s account in the match by scoring a goal from inside the box in the ninth minute.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah scored the second goal in the 26th minute to take Liverpool’s lead 2–0.
After two goals behind, it looked like Chelsea would not be able to score in the first half when Mateo Kovacic and Kristian Pulisic scored a goal each.
Kovacs scored in the 42nd minute to bring Chelsea back into the match, then Pulisic scored in injury time (45+1st minute) to break the score 2-2.
In the second half, both the teams kept trying to get the lead but success was not in their hands. Chelsea manager Thomas Tukel did not field Romelu Lukaku in this match.
