Attack On BJP MLA Arun Narang By Farmers In Punjab

Attack on BJP MLA: Congress MP Ravneet Bittu said, Punjabis should not fight selfishly with farmers, farmer leaders.

Congress MP Ravneet Singh Bittu has strongly attacked the peasant leaders, condemning BJP MLA Arun Narang and publicly denouncing the massacre. Bittu said that this incident has hurt the honor of Punjab.

Bittu said that even though the farmer leaders are turning their backs on the attack claiming that the attackers were not farmers and the incident has been carried out by the mob, the farmer leaders should clarify who they consider being farmers.

He said that the peasant leaders first instigated the innocent spearheads to attack the leaders and the youth and then leave them in the balance when the FIR is registered or their arrest.

The MP asked the peasant leaders that at present you are inciting people against the leaders and tomorrow when these people will attack the peasant leaders, will you be happy that the Punjabis are fighting amongst themselves?

Bittu said that if you still do not agree then in the coming time this situation can take the form of a mutual fight. MP Bittu challenged the farmer’s leaders and said that if you are so brave.

Then there is an agriculture minister and other senior ministers at a distance of five kilometers from the Morcha site, attack them and show them. Do not provoke Punjabis to attack Punjabis.

The Congress MP said that this shows that the leaders of the farmer unions are working towards fulfilling their objectives in the next assembly elections, forgetting the cancellation of the three agricultural laws.

This is the reason why he is busy in the assembly elections in other states, forgetting the movement.

Bittu demanded the Punjab government to take strict action against those accused of this attack who are pulling back the peasant movement with such antics.

The police fail to protect the dignity of the elected representative: Sukhbir.

Shiromani Akali Dal President and former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal have condemned the attack on BJP MLA Arun Narang.

He tweeted that the police had failed to protect the dignity of the elected representative and that the incident should be investigated impartially to decide the responsibility of the state police on the matter.

He said that it is shameful that the Congress government has failed to maintain law and order.

Violent action not right: Aman Arora.

Aman Arora, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, has said that the attack on MLA Arun Narang is not true in any way. Farmers should understand that such violent actions are weakening the peasant movement.

In the past, there have been attempts to discredit the peasant movement. The central government should repeal all three agricultural laws.

The farmers have been sitting on the borders of Delhi for the last nine months but the central government has kept both their eyes and ears closed.
