Army to deploy K-9 Vajra Howitzer cannon, 100 cannons at high altitude locations in Ladakh.

Though the Chinese have softened in eastern Ladakh, the campaign to further strengthen the Indian Army is not going to stop.

Three K-9 Vajra Howitzer cannons have been deployed in Ladakh to increase the firepower of the army. The Defense forces will try these three cannons, which arrived for trial in challenging conditions of the icy desert.

These cannons have taken over at Leh. In this episode, Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane has ordered that the purchase of 100 K-9 Vajra Howitzer cannons has been ordered.

Top sources in the government told that if these cannons could be used in high altitude areas against the enemy, they could be deployed at high altitudes.

Sources said that on the basis of the performance of the cannons, the Indian Army would consider ordering self-propelled howitzers to operate two to three additional regiments on the mountains.

The army chief is monitoring the production and operation of howitzers manufactured at Larsen & Toubro in Hazira, Surat, Gujarat.

The Indian Army has ordered 100 cannons to the South Korean firm. He has been inducted into various regiments of the Army for the last two years.

The K-9 Vraj is the indigenous version of K9 Thunder, the original of South Korea. The range of these self-propelled guns is 38 km.

It is produced by Mumbai-based firm Larsen & Toubro in partnership with a South Korean firm. Since 1986, the Indian Army has not included any new heavy artillery in the country since the Bofors scandal.

With the production of the K9 Vajra in addition to the Dhanush and M777 ultra-light howitzers, the Indian Army is drawing new inspiration from its own inventor.

The next Howitzer made in India, technically equipped with Advanced Artillery Gun System (ATAGS) developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), is likely to be inducted in large numbers.
