Andhra Pradesh And Chhattisgarh Jointly At Top In GST Collection

Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh jointly number one in GST collection. This time GST collection has increased by 26% as compared to October-2019 in Chhattisgarh.

Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh jointly rank first in the list of large states of the country in terms of increase in GST collection. Earlier in September, the state had collected 24 percent more GST than the previous year.

According to the list released from the Union Finance Ministry, the GST collection of 1,570 crores was collected in October last year. In October this year, the figure increased from 404 crores to 1974 crores.

Financial experts consider it the achievement of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel amid the Corona crisis. The Chief Minister also has the work of Finance Ministry.

Economic activities continued in the rural and forest areas of the state during the lockdown. Through the Kisan Nyaya Yojana, 19 lakh farmers of the state have received Rs 4,500 crore of paddy sale at regular intervals.

Through the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, about 40 crore rupees have been given by purchasing cow dung from farmers and livestock.

On the initiative of GST Minister TS Singhdev, MGNREGA was effectively implemented to provide employment to a large number of people in villages in the Corona period.

As a result, the economy of the villages remained strong. The industry and business also benefited from the money coming into people’s pockets.

Self-help groups are also buying forest produce in forest areas. In order to keep the real estate sector active during the Corona crisis, the government guidelines for the sale and sale of land were given a discount of 30 percent.

The automobile sector also did better business. Production continued in the coal mines and steel industries of the state even during the lockdown.

The increase in GST collections reflects the improving situation of industrial production as a whole of the country’s economy.

The report released on Monday by the economic think-tank NCAER shows that the country’s industry is also becoming more positive about the future. However, there is still a large section of the industry that is in doubt.

This report is from July to September only among 600 companies of the country, according to which the level of business confidence index is 65.5 .

This index is 41 percent higher than the level of 46.4 recorded in April to June 2020. However, the index level is still much lower than in the second quarter of the last financial year.
