BJP’s leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the party’s election campaign in South India from today. In Tamil Nadu, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a roadshow in Kanyakumari.
During this, he started the campaign of the BJP’s election campaign, door-to-door.
During this election campaign, Union Home Minister Amit Shah appeared in a winning posture. He hoped to form the BJP coalition government in Tamil Nadu.
In Kanyakumari, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that today we have started our door-to-door campaign by going to 11 houses here.
Amit Shah’s roadshow in Kanyakumari: He said that I appeal to all to ensure the victory of NDA candidate Pon Radhakrishnan from the Kanyakumari Lok Sabha seat in the by-election.
Shah said that I am confident that the AIADMK-BJP-PMK government will be formed in Tamil Nadu.
Under this campaign, BJP workers will go door-to-door and make people aware of the policies of the Central Government and the views of the BJP.
Shah will also attend a roadshow and address party workers at Udupi Hotel in the afternoon. Polling for the 234-member Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly is scheduled for April 6.
Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the Suchindram Temple in Kanyakumari and offered prayers.
Shah will also go to Kerala
Amit Shah will go to Kerala from Tamil Nadu. After reaching Thiruvananthapuram, he will first go to Sri Ramakrishna Math at 4.30 pm. He will then join the party Kerala Vijay Yatra’.
BJP-AIADMK agreement in Tamil Nadu
The BJP has tied up with the AIADMK for seats for the Tamil Nadu assembly elections. The BJP has got 20 seats in the state assembly. As per the agreement, the Kanyakumari Lok Sabha seat has also come on the BJP’s part.
On the seat-sharing agreement, BJP’s national general secretary CT Ravi and state president L Murugan on behalf of the BJP and Chief Minister K.K. on behalf of AIADMK.
Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O.K. Panneerselvam have signed on.
In the communique issued after the agreement, the AIADMK has pledged its full support to the BJP candidates. AIADMK has also released the first list of its six candidates.
A day before this, the AIADMK and the PMK also reached a seat agreement. The PMK has got 23 seats under the agreement.
However, AIADMK is yet to reach an agreement with DMDK on seats. Sources said that the AIADMK wants to contest 170 seats in the 234-member assembly. Of these, it won 134 seats in the last election.
Pon Radhakrishnan will be a BJP candidate from Kanyakumari.
BJP has announced former Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan as its candidate from the Kanyakumari Lok Sabha seat. The by-election is being held here on April 6 after the death of Congress MP H Vasant Kumar.
Vasant Kumar died last year due to a corona infection.
In New Delhi, the BJP has issued a statement saying that the party’s Central Election Committee has approved the name of Pon Radhakrishnan for the by-election for the Kanyakumari Lok Sabha seat.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, and other members of the committee were present in the election committee meeting chaired by BJP president JP Nadda.
Radhakrishnan won elections from here in 2014 and became the Minister of State in the Modi government.
