At the meeting held on Tuesday, senior officials of the Home Ministry were present along with the heads of CRPF, BSF, and Intelligence Bureau. In the meeting, Amit Shah asked the BSF to strengthen the border grid and use advanced technology to ensure zero infiltration to stop infiltration from the international border connected to Jammu.

Citing the formation of a new government in Jammu and Kashmir after the assembly elections, he asked the CRPF to continue better coordination with the state police as before. While reviewing the functioning of the Intelligence Bureau in Jammu and Kashmir, Amit Shah directed to collection of quality intelligence and increased coverage and penetration for this.

He said that the use of modern equipment is also necessary for collecting intelligence. Shah made it clear that stopping terrorist funding, ending the narco-terror nexus, as well as destroying the entire ecosystem of terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir is the priority of the Modi government.
