Earlier, he reached the Bhagyalakshmi temple and offered prayers.

On arrival of the Home Minister, he was welcomed at Begumpet Airport.

Prior to that, besides Union Ministers Prakash Javadekar and Smriti Irani, party president JP Nadda also rallied here.

Significantly, there is a fierce competition between the ruling party, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), AIMIM and BJP in the state regarding local body elections in Hyderabad.

The BJP is running an election campaign in the city and during this period many high-profile leaders of the party have also been seen.

Apart from Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, Union ministers Prakash Javadekar, Smriti Irani, and party president JP Nadda campaigned in Hyderabad.

Elections for the 150-member GHMC are scheduled on December 1 and Votto will be counted on December 4.
