In a tweet in this regard, Shah said, “Today had the privilege of meeting Naik Bhairon Singh Rathore, posted in Longewala during the 1971 war in Jaisalmer.”

“Your valor and love for the motherland have created immense reverence in history and in the hearts of the countrymen. I bow to you.”

It is worth noting that Bhairon Singh Rathore played an important role in the historic Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
