Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Goa on Wednesday, Bharatiya Janata Party’s star campaigner for the assembly elections.

According to a press release issued by the BJP, Shah will campaign from door to door in the Mayem assembly constituency at 3.30 pm and will be followed by a door-to-door campaign in the Bicholim assembly constituency at 4.25 pm.

He will campaign for BJP candidates Premendra Shet and Rajesh Patekar in these two constituencies.

Shah will further address a public meeting at Jante Hall’s open space in Bicholim at 4.50 pm.

He will conclude his campaign with a public meeting at Bodke Ground, Sakhalin Bazar at 6.50 pm, where Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will also be present.

Sawant is a BJP candidate from the Sankelim assembly constituency.

Rajnath Singh will campaign for BJP in South Goa. He will first have darshan at Mahalsa temple at 4.00 pm and then visit Mardol-Ponda.

He will hold a public meeting from 5 pm to 6 pm at the Ponda bus stand and from 7 pm to 8 pm near the municipality in Vasco.

BJP has fielded Ravi Naik from the Ponda assembly constituency and Krishna (Daji) Salkar from the Vasco assembly constituency.

Assembly elections will be held in Goa on February 14 and the counting of votes will take place on March 10.
