OTT platform Amazon Prime Video has inked a mega-deal with film producer Yash Raj Films, under which it has acquired the streaming rights of many big films of the banner in the coming days.

All these movies will be streamed on Prime Video in 240 countries simultaneously for four weeks after their theatrical release.

These movies are Prithviraj, Bunty Aur Babli 2, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and Shamshera.

Prime Video officially announced this deal on Thursday. As part of the deal, Prime has acquired the global streaming rights of these four films.

First of all, Bunty Aur Babli 2 is releasing in theaters on November 19, that is, according to the deal, this film will come on Amazon Prime around December 20.

The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Sharvari in lead roles.

Prithviraj will hit the theaters on January 21. Prithviraj starring Akshay Kumar, Sonu Sood, and Manushi Chhillar is one of the most awaited films of 2022.

This historical film has been directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi. The film will hit Prime around February 22.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar is scheduled for release on February 25 next year. The Ranveer Singh and Shalini Pandey starrer will stream on Prime around March 26.

Shamshera is coming on March 18 next year. This period film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, and Vaani Kapoor in lead roles. As per the deal, the film will hit Prime around April 20.

This deal between Prime and Yash Raj Films is going to take forward the old relationship under which many classic films including Yash Raj’s Darr, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Silsila, Chandni, Dil To Pagal Hai are present on Prime.

If we talk about the recently released films, then Thugs of Hindostan, War, Mardaani’s global rights platform had bought.

Gaurav Gandhi, Country Head, Prime Video, on the partnership with Yash Raj said, “For the last four years, we have been bringing blockbuster movies to the Indian audiences on their favorite screens to entertain at home.

Regarding the release window of four weeks, Gandhi said that this will not only provide great content to Prime members but will also increase their reach worldwide by increasing the viewer base.
