ADG Law And Order Javed Shamim Removed In Bengal

ADG law and order removed in Bengal Javed Shamim: West Bengal Assembly Election 2021.

The action of the Commission has started with the announcement of election dates and the implementation of the model code of conduct in Bengal.

On Saturday, the very next day after the announcement of the election, the Election Commission decided to remove Javed Shamim, the ADG (Law and Order) of the state.

Jagmohan has been appointed as the new ADG (Law and Order) of the state in place of the Director-General (DG) of the fire department. A notification in this regard has also been issued.

Significantly, this is the first major action of the commission after the announcement of elections, when a top police officer of the state has been removed.

According to the notification, Javed Shamim has been made the new DG of the fire department in place of Jagmohan.

A few days ago the state government appointed Javed Shamim as the new ADG (Law and Order) of the state in place of Gyanwant Singh. Javed was earlier the Special Commissioner of Kolkata Police.

Trinamool objected to the decision of the Commission.

Here, the Trinamool Congress has objected to the Election Commission’s decision to remove Javed Shamim from the post of ADG (Law and Order).

Senior Trinamool MP and spokesperson Saugat Rai said that whether the BJP is behind this transfer is to be seen. He said that we respect the Election Commission, but this kind of action is bound to question its impartiality.

On the other hand, the BJP has welcomed the move of the Election Commission. State BJP vice-president Jayaprakash Majumdar said that the commission will find it appropriate for peaceful and fair elections, it is free to do so. Everyone has to accept it.

He also questioned the appointment of several retired IAS and IPS officers to important posts by the state government and demanded action to remove them from the Election Commission.

Bengal Elections: Singur has become the center of politics.

Hooghly has played the most important role in bringing Bengal power to the Trinamool Congress. Mamta Banerjee’s agitation against forced land acquisition in Singur of the same district had sparked a change in the state.

Mamta gained power when she quit Tata Motors’ Lakhtakiya car factory from Singur. Singur, which has become the center of politics, is monitored by parties in every election.

Political analysts say that Singur will decide the direction of the election in Hooghly district. The people here will wave their flag in the district. It is to be seen for whom the grapes of Singur are sweet and sour for whom.
