Accelerated Bidding Will Be Held On Second Day Of IPL Auction
Accelerated bidding will be held on the second day of the IPL auction, 74 players sold on the first day.
Today is the second day of the two-day mega auction of the world’s most popular cricket league Indian Premier League (IPL Mega Auction 2022).
It is being organized in Bangalore. All the franchises have been asked to submit a list of 20 names of the remaining players to the auction committee.
These are the players the franchise wants to buy. Today in the accelerated round of Mega Auction, only those players whose name will be on the list will be bidding.

On Saturday, the first day of the IPL Mega Auction, the franchises together spent Rs 388 crore to buy 74 players.
Ishaan Kishan, Deepak Chahar, Shreyas Iyer, Avesh Khan, Harshal Patel, Vanindu Hasranga, Nicholas Pooran, and Shardul Thakur sold at a high price on the first day of the auction.
During this, 23 players like Steve Smith, Suresh Raina, Umesh Yadav, and David Miller did not find any buyers. The marquee players were the first to bid.
Shreyas was the most expensive in this. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bought him for Rs 12.25 crore.
Ishaan Kishan is the most expensive player of this auction so far.
Wicket-keeper batsman Ishan Kishan was bought by Mumbai Indians (MI) for Rs 15.25 crore. He is the most expensive player of this year’s auction so far.
At the same time, he is the second most expensive Indian player in IPL history. Apart from this, Deepak Chahar was bought by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for 14 crores.
Shardul Thakur was bought by Delhi Capitals (DC) for 10.75 crores. Bought Vanindu Hasranga for 10.75 crores.
Uncapped players sold expensively.
Washington Sundar and Kunal Pandya also made big money. Hyderabad bought Sundar for Rs 8.75 crore, while Pandya was bought by Lucknow for Rs 8.75 crore.
New Zealand’s Lucky Ferguson was bought by Ahmedabad for Rs 10 crore, while Josh Hazlewood was bought by Lucknow for Rs 7.5 crore.
Uncapped players like Avesh Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Rahul Teotia, Riyan Parag, and Rahul Tripathi also sold expensively.
Dewald Brevis of South Africa, popularly known as ‘Baby Abby’, was bought by Mumbai for three crores.
