ACB raids the premises of Congress leader and MLA Ahmed Khan in Karnataka.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Karnataka on Tuesday raided five places linked to Congress leader and MLA BZ Jamir Ahmed Khan following a report by the Enforcement Directorate.
ACB officials said the raids were carried out at Khan’s residence near Cantonment railway station, a flat in Silver Oak Apartments, a guest house in Sadashivnagar, GK Associates’ office in Banashankari, and National Travels’ office at Kalasipalya in the city.
“ACB teams are verifying the documents and investigation is on,” he said. Several teams of ACB reached five places associated with the four-time MLA.
ACB raids the premises of Congress leader: Khan was the food and civil supplies minister in the government led by former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy.
In August last year, the Enforcement Directorate raided the residences of Khan and another former minister R Roshan Baig for their alleged links to the Rs 4,000-crore IMA Ponzi scheme.
It is said that thousands of people were duped through this scheme, mostly Muslims. Khan has appeared before the ED several times.
An ACB official said that the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) is conducting raids at two offices and three residences of Congress MLA BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan.
Also told that ACB (Anti-Corruption Bureau) has registered a case of disproportionate assets against Congress MLA BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan on the basis of an ED report today.
Simultaneously, raids were conducted at 5 places including his residence in Sadashiv Nagar, Banashankari, Kalasipalya, and Bangalore Cantonment.
