BJP’s Big Success In Two Local Elections Has Many Meanings
BJP’s big success in these two local elections has many meanings. The Bharatiya Janata Party has won two big wins at a small level this month.
The first of these is the election of the Greater Hyderabad Municipality and the second is the District Development Council (DDC) of Jammu and Kashmir.
BJP’s big success in both of these elections has many meanings at the political level.
Let me tell you that for the first time in the election of Hyderabad, it was seen that the national level dancers had also registered their presence.
This also benefited the party and the party stood at number two here, while Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM, which was considered a stronghold here, remained as the number three-party.
In this election, the party’s objective was not limited to defeating Owaisi in his own house but also to open the way for the future occupation here. The party has also been successful in its initial phase.
Similarly, there is also the story of the DDC election held in Jammu and Kashmir. This was the first election held here after forming two separate union territories of the state.
This decision was strongly opposed by almost all opposition parties.
At the same time, after the protest, the PDP of Mehbooba Mufti and the National Conference of Farooq Abdullah in Jammu and Kashmir have been left behind by the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Significantly, DDC Elections was conducted in 280 seats.
Except for some of these, all the results have been declared. Out of these, the BJP has achieved huge success by winning 77 seats.
After this, the National Conference has so far won 67 seats and Independents 49 seats in this election.
The PDP, which had formed an alliance with the BJP till some time ago, has been able to win only 27 seats.
At the same time, Congress has held 26. After this there are other parties. It means to say that the BJP has left all other parties behind here.
The victory in these local elections of both the states matters a lot.
Ujjwal Bhaskar, professor of political science at Delhi University, believes that the party will benefit from this election in the state elections.
They also believe that the Bharatiya Janata Party has built a strong position in Jammu and Kashmir in the last few years.
During the alliance with the PDP, the party has proved successful in telling the people here that the party believes in giving political stability and development to the state.
Let us tell you that in the coming few months assembly elections are to be held in West Bengal also. It is believed that BJP will perform better there than before.
