PM Modi in Jaipur to Join the 58th DGP-IGP National Conference, addressing new criminal laws, AI challenges, and deepfake concerns.

The event from January 5th to 7th explores domestic security, cybercrime, and more.

PM Modi In Jaipur: PM Modi will attend the DGP-IGP meeting, focus will be on new criminal law, deepfake, and AI technology.

The All India Annual Conference of Directors General and Inspectors General of Police is to be organized in Jaipur in mid-January.

It is being told that the implementation of three new criminal laws and the challenges posed by Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and deepfake media are among the major agendas to be discussed at this conference.

The Bharatiya Janata Party office was decorated on Thursday ahead of the visit of PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to the city to attend the 58th DGP-IGP National Conference.

Apart from this, PM Modi is also expected to reach Rajasthan BJP headquarters where he will address party workers, leaders, and BJP leaders of the state unit.

The conference will be held from January 5th to 7th.

“The three-day conference, scheduled to run from January 5th to 7th, will focus on domestic security and policing, including cybercrime, the use of technology in policing, the challenges of fighting terrorism, left-wing extremism, and prison reform.

Issues related to the activities will be taken up,” the PMO said in a statement.

Another major agenda of the conference is the deliberations on the road map for the implementation of the new criminal laws.”

The conference will also provide an opportunity to identify concrete action points and monitor their progress.

The discussion takes place informally.

The prime minister has been attending the DGP conference since 2014.”The prime minister attends all of the conference’s important sessions.

This conference was held in Guwahati in 2014; Dhordo in 2015; National Police Academy, Hyderabad in 2016; BSF Academy, Tekanpur in 2017; Kevadiya in 2018; IISER, Pune in 2019;

It was held at Police Headquarters, Lucknow in 2021 and at the National Agricultural Science Complex, Pusa, Delhi in 2023.

Senior officials will attend the conference.

In keeping with the custom, the conference is being held in Jaipur this year.

The conference will be attended by the Union Home Minister, National Security Advisor, Minister of State for Home, Cabinet Secretary, senior officials of the Government of India, Director Generals of Police of States/UTs, and heads of Central Armed Police Forces and Central Police Organizations, among others.
