Congress leaders earned enough money through Gandhi family, now time to repay the loan: Former Karnataka Assembly Speaker and Congress leader KR Ramesh Kumar.

Congress MLA and former Karnataka Assembly Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar have claimed that Congress office-bearers have amassed enough money to last for three to four generations by using the names of Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and Sonia Gandhi.

Now is the time to pay off all this.

KR Ramesh Kumar made the remarks on Thursday while participating in a Congress protest against the Enforcement Directorate’s summons to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi in an alleged money laundering case.

Sonia Gandhi on Thursday appeared before the ED in Delhi in connection with alleged financial irregularities in Congress-promoted Young Indian Pvt Ltd, which owns the National Herald newspaper.

If we are not prepared for even this small sacrifice today, then the rice we eat will rot in the future and get worms in it.’

Asked whether Sonia Gandhi is above the law, Kumar said he would respond and said, “But first I want to ask whether your ancestors of RSS), Hindu Mahasabha, and BJS fought for freedom. I went to jail.

Congress Leaders Earned Enough Money: Kumar is famous for making controversial statements.

Kumar, known for making controversial remarks, had courted controversy in the Karnataka Assembly in December last year by saying, “There is a saying that when rape is unavoidable, lie down and enjoy it.”

That is exactly the situation you are in.’ The statement of the Congress leader had created a ruckus in the country. Many demanded his sacking as MLA and protested in the state assembly.

After the uproar, Kumar apologized for the statement.

Following the uproar, Kumar apologized in the Karnataka Assembly for his remarks. He said in the assembly, ” I don’t want to be defensive.

Whatever I said last night, if it hurt anyone’s sentiment, I apologize for the statement. I have no ego. I  respect everyone. We all are here to maintain the dignity of the assembly.
