Russian troops withdraw from Kyiv and Chernihiv but fighting continues, Russia halts aid to Maripol after the oil warehouse blew up.

On Friday, the 37th day of the Russian offensive, Ukraine retaliated. Two Ukrainian helicopters entered Russia and struck the border town of Belgorod and destroyed an oil warehouse there.

At the request of President Zelensky, Australia will send the Bushmaster armored military vehicle to Ukraine. Zelensky on Thursday urged Australia to provide armored vehicles and some other military aid.

According to the media report, after the face-to-face talks held on Tuesday in Istanbul city of Turkey, the delegations of Russia and Ukraine held talks online on Friday.

The talks between the two countries came after the Ukrainian attack on the Russian oil warehouse in Belgorod city.

After this attack, the Russian army stopped food items going to Maripol but allowed civilians to leave from there.

More than one and a half million people are trapped in Maripol, under the siege of the Russian army.

Chernobyl came back to Ukraine.

Russian troops completely evacuated Ukraine’s famous Chernobyl nuclear plant on Friday morning. Now the plant is under Ukrainian occupation as before and its officials have started working there.

On February 24, the day after the invasion of Ukraine, Russian forces captured Chernobyl.

The reactors at this plant have not been functioning since the accident. But there is a huge amount of junk of radioactive elements present. Therefore this plant remains dangerous.

Ukraine’s state-owned power company Inergotum says Russian troops have left Chernobyl after being exposed to radiation.
