During a joint search operation, four IEDs and one person along with cash have been arrested from the Mendhar Tehsil area.

On Friday, the police, along with the soldiers of the Army and 72 battalions of BSF were checking the vehicles by putting up a Naka in Mod Kotan area falling in Mendhar tehsil of Poonch district.
Meanwhile, the police got secret information that a person was passing with arms or explosives. During this, the security forces suspected the movement of a person passing through the block.
When he was immediately nabbed and searched, four low-intensity IEDs and cash of ten and a half thousand rupees were recovered from him.
During interrogation, it was found that the accused Mahmood Hussain is the son of Mohammad Munshi, a resident of Kasbalari.
A case has been registered against him at Mendhar police station and an investigation has been started. It is being ascertained which terrorist organization or any terrorist specific is the contact of Mehmood.
After questioning him, a big disclosure can be made. Due to the increasing terrorist incidents in Poonch and Rajouri districts, it seems that terrorists are trying to spread their network in the Pir Panjal range.
Some other terrorists in the area can also be helpful. The police are investigating after keeping all these points in mind.
