According to the department, winds can move at a speed of 150 to 160 kilometers per hour during the storm.

According to the Karnataka State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA), 6 districts, 3 coastal districts, and 3 Malnad districts have received heavy to very heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours due to the cyclone storm.

So far 4 people have lost their lives and 73 villages have been affected.

Cyclone Tauktae Updates: Hit the coast of Goa.

Given the cyclonic storm in Gujarat, teams of NDRF have been deployed in the state.

NDRF Gandhinagar deputy commandant Ranvijay Kumar Singh said, “24 teams will take their place by this evening, with 13 teams from outside.”

The Meteorological Department has said that the storm could wreak havoc in Gujarat with the Union Territory of Daman Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

Some airlines have feared their flights will be affected. At the same time, residents and fishermen of the coastal areas have also been alerted.

Cyclone Tauktae Updates: PM Modi reviews the preparations for the storm.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday reviewed the ‘Takte’ cyclonic storm in India and reviewed its preparedness in the states.

For this, he has held meetings with states, union ministers, and related agencies. In a statement issued, it was said that Prime Minister Modi should be fully prepared to restore essential services such as electricity, telecom, health, and water during the storm.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also attended this high-level meeting.
