J&K Congress state president GA Mir met Rahul Gandhi amid the situation arising out of the visit of senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.

In this meeting held on Tuesday evening, Mir told Rahul Gandhi about the political situation in Jammu and Kashmir, the party’s organizational activities, and the important issues of the state.

Rajni Patil, in-charge of the party’s Jammu and Kashmir affairs, was also present at the meeting.

During this time, Rahul Gandhi directed the state Congress to continue the campaign to surround the central government and administration on the issues of the people in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to sources, during the meeting, during the discussion on preparations of Congress in Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Azad’s three-day visit was also discussed.

After Azad’s visit, the factionalism of Congress has come to the surface. In such a situation, on Tuesday, a Congress group protested against Azad and accused him of staking the interests of the party.

At the same time, the second group took to the streets in support of Azad. According to sources, the issue arose in the meeting.

According to the party, in this meeting, Rahul Gandhi was also informed about the action being taken by Congress to resolve the issues of the people in the state.

Rahul Gandhi was also told in detail about the action being taken to impose property tax in the state along with the burden of taxes being levied on people in Jammu and Kashmir.

The party has staged sit-in demonstrations in various districts of Jammu and Kashmir till March 30 on the issue of an increase in petrol, diesel, and taxes. The BJP and its government are being targeted on these issues.

Azad’s visit gave air to the conscience of the Congress, the protesters and supporters of Azad demonstrated.

The three-day visit of senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has given rise to the party’s infighting in the state.

A mutual schism has come on the streets. On Tuesday, former General Secretary of State Congress Shahnawaz Chaudhary and his supporters protested against Ghulam Nabi Azad and burnt his effigy in Jammu.

At the same time, pro-Azad pro-Congress activists also took to the streets and supported Ghulam Nabi Azad and took on the protesters against him.
