12th FAIL Movie: Vikrant Massey’s 12th Fail to be shot in Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar, inspired by IPS officers.
Producer-director Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who has given many weighty and successful films to Hindi cinema, is now coming up with a film that shows a different side of the education system.
The title of the movie is 12th Fail. Vidhu is directing the film. The movie is based on Anurag Pathak’s best-selling novel of the same title.
The film depicts the preparation and struggles of the students to become IPS and IRS officers.
12th Fail is a story inspired by the life events of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and IRS officer Shraddha Joshi. However, there is no biopic on them.

The second leg of shooting in Delhi
The first schedule of the film has been completed in Chambal near Agra. The second schedule is going to be shot in Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi.
This area of Delhi is famous for those preparing for civil services, where meritorious students from all over the country reach the dream of becoming an IAS.
Wires of many bureaucrats have been connected to this place.
Sources associated with the film say this is the first film to be shot in Mukherjee Nagar. 12th Fail will release during the summer holidays next year.
These films are also made on education
Many films have been made in Bollywood earlier also on the education system of the country and the problems related to it.

The film gives the message of more relevance than books in the education system. Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Boman Irani, and Kareena Kapoor played lead roles in this film.
Prakash Jha’s Aarakshan is an edgy film on the subject, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Manoj Bajpayee, and Deepika Padukone in lead roles.
Irfan and Saba Qamar’s Hindi medium can beautifully take a jibe at the compulsion of English in schools. Emraan Hashmi’s Why Cheat India is based on scams in competitive exams.
