Vistara introduces the facility of serving food on domestic flights, passengers will get fresh food on the flight.
The country’s leading aviation company Vistara has resumed the facility of serving fresh vegetarian food to its passengers.
This information was made available by the aviation company Vistara on Thursday.
Vistara has announced a new facility of ‘In-flight Meals’ for all categories of its domestic flights – Economy, Premium, and Business.
Due to the guidelines related to Covid-19, the company was serving only pre-prepared i.e. packaged food to domestic passengers since May last year.
Aviation regulator DGCA in August last year allowed airlines to serve or sell pre-packaged light meals, beverages, and meals on all domestic flights.
This was followed by the regulator allowing airlines to serve food only on domestic flights of more than two hours during the second wave of Covid-19 in April this year.
At the same time, while giving information, a senior official of the Ministry of Civil Aviation said that “The restrictions imposed by the government on international flights are not likely to be lifted immediately.”
Scheduled international passenger flights have been suspended since March last year amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
India has entered into air bubble agreements with more than 25 countries to operate international flights.
Rajiv Bansal, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, said that the existing number of flights available under the air bubble regime is sufficient to meet the demand.
International travel is not taking place as visas are not easily available. In some countries like the US and Canada, airlines are operating 30 to 40 percent of their average capacity as of December 2021.
“In India, it is time to operate all flights again when the situation is normal as it was before Covid-19. can think about.”
During the inauguration of Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar International Airport on Wednesday, Bansal had also said, “The air bubble arrangement can be expanded if need be.”
Under an air bubble arrangement between two countries, subject to certain conditions. Airlines companies can operate international passenger flights.
“Presently, India has such arrangements with 28 countries including the US, UK, Germany, and Japan.”
