United Nations Secretary-General condemned the attack

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned the terrorist attack in Vienna, saying that he was closely monitoring the situation.

At least 25 people are reported to have been killed in the terrorist attack on Monday at Kabul University in Afghanistan. Many people have also been injured.

The attack occurred when Afghan officials and Iranian ambassadors were inaugurating a book exhibition held at the university. The terrorist organization Islamic State (IS) claimed responsibility for the attack.

Earlier, the Taliban issued a statement clarifying that it had nothing to do with this attack. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strongly condemned this attack, calling it a cowardly act of terrorists.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, ‘I today strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack at Kabul University.

Our prayers are with the families of the victims and the injured. We will continue to support Afghanistan’s brave struggle against terrorism.

Afghanistan Interior Ministry spokesman Tariq Ariyan has not given the number of people killed in the attack. However, the local media has said that at least 20 people were killed in the attack.

Arian stated that there were three attackers, who have been killed in retaliation.

This is the second major attack on students in a span of one week. On 24 October, 24 people were killed in a suicide attack at a educational institution in Kabul.
