Vaccination In India: So Far More Than 18.58 Crores Vaccinated

Vaccination in India: Vaccination continues fast, more than 18.58 crores vaccine has been introduced in the country so far.

So far, 18.58 crore doses have been put in the vaccination campaign against the coronavirus in the country.

The Union Health Ministry said that a total of 13,12,155 doses were given to the beneficiaries on Tuesday, the 123rd day of the vaccination campaign.

The Ministry said that the beneficiaries include more than 64.60 lakh people in the age group of 18-44 years, who have been given the first dose of vaccine.

Vaccination in India: For the age group of 45-60 years, 5.80 crore have been given first and 93.49 lakh people have been given the second dose.

The first dose has been given to 5.48 crores above the age of 60 years and the second dose to 1.79 crores has also been given so far.

Apart from this, 96.73 lakh health workers (first dose), 66.58 lakh health workers (second dose), 1.45 crore frontline workers (first dose), and 82.29 lakh frontline workers (second dose) are also included among the beneficiaries.

The ministry said that the states and union territories currently have 1.94 crore vaccines available and will get one lakh more doses in the next three days.

Famous people wrote a letter to PM.

Meanwhile, more than five hundred people have written a letter to the Prime Minister, appealing to ensure vaccination of the needy. These people include economists Jean Deereje and Jayati Ghosh.

States still have more than 20 million vaccine doses: Center.

The Union Health Ministry said on Monday that more than two crore doses of corona vaccine are available with the states and union territories.

They will get three lakh more doses within the next three days. The ministry said that the Center has so far provided 20 crores 76 lakh 10 thousand 230 doses to the states and union territories absolutely free.

According to the data available till eight o’clock on Monday morning, 18 crores 71 lakh 13 thousand 705 doses have been used till May 16, including the damaged ones.

In this way, two crores four lakh 96 thousand 525 doses are available with the states and union territories. They will get 2,94,660 doses within three days.
