In the second wave of corona infection in Uttarakhand, cases are increasing rapidly. At present, there is no district where corona patients are not present.

A large number of migrants from other states are returning back to Uttarakhand. The reason for their return is the increasing cases of corona infection in many states.

However, the police vigilance at the border remains intact. The police have so far returned more than 45 thousand passengers coming from the state border without an RTPCR report.

In view of increasing cases of corona infection in the state, migrants are rapidly returning back to their homes. In Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital districts, the rate of infection is increasing very fast.

In view of the increasing infection, the government has imposed covid curfew in many districts.

Along with this, it has been made clear by issuing guidelines that it is mandatory for travelers coming from outside the state to bring the RTPCR negative report for a period of up to 72 hours before reaching the border.

Along with this, they are also required to register on the portal of Smart City, Dehradun.

This system is being implemented strictly since 26 April. For this, 40 check posts have been set up at various places in the state.

More than 300 police personnel are deployed in these, who are checking the vehicles and documents. Since April 26, 376645 persons have arrived in the state by road.

Of these, the police sent 45297 persons who came from 9321 vehicles due to non-submission of RTPCR report or registration on the Smart City, Dehradun portal.
