UPSSF will tighten the grip on criminals In Uttar Pradesh, will have the right to arrest without warrant. The Uttar Pradesh Special Protection Force Bill, 2020, passed from the Legislature in the monsoon session, has come into force after the approval of the Governor.

The Yogi Adityanath government has directed the Director-General of Police to give suggestions for launching the first phase of this Uttar Pradesh Special Protection Force (UPSSF) in three months. At present 9,919 personnel will be employed in this force to be set up for the protection of important establishments.

Five battalions will be formed in the first phase as Uttar Pradesh Special Security Force, for which a total of 1,913 new posts will be created. The important thing is that UPSSF will have the right to arrest any accused or suspect without a warrant at their duty site. This force will be headed by an officer of the ADG level.

A total expenditure of Rs 1747.06 crore is estimated on the formation of five battalions including salary, allowances, and other arrangements. Security will be here At the same time, a member of the force can arrest a person who is hindering his work or who has committed an offense without the order or warrant of a magistrate.

This force will also have the power to search without a warrant. This force can also provide security to private sector establishments but for this, they will have to pay prescribed fees.

Proposal of sought manual in 15 days: Additional Chief Secretary Home Avnish Kumar Awasthi said on Sunday that the Director-General of Police has been sent a copy of the act and instructions have been given to take action for the formation of this force. He has been instructed to provide a roadmap about the formation/implementation of the Special Protection Force in three days and a proposal for the creation of posts for its operation in seven days.

A proposal for a manual has been sought to implement the Act. Police Recruitment Board will select: Additional Chief Secretary Home Avnish Kumar Awasthi said that this force will be the Chief Minister’s dream project. In the first phase, it will be taken forward with the support of some infrastructure facilities of PAC.

A separate manual will be made to give special powers to the members of the force. The salaries of the members of the force and other state governments will decide. In the first phase, eight vessels of force will be formed. Subordinate officers and members of the force will be recruited by the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, whose rules will be made by the Personnel Department.

The announcement of the formation of the force was made on 26 June: In the Yogi Adityanath cabinet, the notification of the formation of this force passed by bye circulation on 26 June has been issued by the Home Department. On June 26, the Chief Minister announced the formation of this force. This force has got many rights to maintain the law and order of the state.

The ADG level officer will be the head of UP SSF and will have its headquarters in Lucknow. The Force has been given many unlimited rights to work without any pressure. This force of the state will be equipped with unprecedented forces. Initially, five battalions of UPSSF will be formed in the state and its ADG will be different. UPSSF will operate under a separate Act.
