Yogi Adityanath 2.0 Government’s first decision- 15 crore people will continue to get free ration for the next three months.

In the second term of the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh, in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, it was decided to extend the Pradhan Mantri Anna Yojana by three months.

The scheme implemented for March 2022 will now continue till May. In this, there is a provision to provide free ration to 15 crore people.

The first decision of the Yogi Adityanath government, for the next three months, 15 crore people of the state will continue to get pulses, salt, sugar, etc.

The scheme was ending in March 2022. This scheme of free ration has had a tremendous impact on BJP’s victory.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath informed the media about this decision after the cabinet meeting on Saturday.

He said that we have decided to extend the Pradhan Mantri Anna Yojana, the first of the newly formed government, by three months. Pradhan Mantri Anna Yojana was started during the Corona period.

80 crore people of the country were getting its benefit. Earlier this scheme was only till March 2022.

Under this scheme, along with food grains, packets of pulses and salt, sugar, etc. were also being given. For the next three months, 15 crore people of the state will continue to get this benefit.

Our first cabinet has taken this decision.

Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak, and cabinet ministers Suresh Kumar Khanna and Swatantra Dev Singh were present with him in the press conference.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya told that about Rs 3270 crore will be spent on this scheme.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced to continue the scheme of providing free ration to 15 crores poor.

A formal decision was taken in this regard in the first meeting of the Yogi 2.0 cabinet held at Lok Bhavan on Saturday, which was informed by the Chief Minister himself.

He said that the first decision of the newly formed government in Uttar Pradesh is dedicated to 15 crore poor people.

During the Corona period, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started Anna Yojana with the aim of providing support to every citizen.

From April 2020 to today, till March 2022, 80 crore people of the country are getting its direct benefit.

At the same time, the state government has operated the scheme of distribution of free ration in addition to the central government.

CM Yogi Adityanath said that if the corona was controlled with the efforts of free tests, treatment, and vaccines.

Then the scheme of free ration has been very useful in diagnosing the problem of starvation arising out of the epidemic.

Antyodaya and eligible household cardholders are getting a double dose of free ration under the government of a double engine of 15 crore people of the state.

Considering that the period of this scheme was ending in March 2022, in the first cabinet meeting of the new government, it has been decided to extend it for the next three months.

Emphasizing the transparent system of ration distribution, he said that E-Posh machines have been installed at 80 thousand fair price shops, due to which distribution of ration to the right beneficiary is becoming possible.

Let us inform you that from April 2020, apart from the central government, the state government is providing free ration to 15 crore poor people from its own resources.

Under the scheme, 35 kg of food grains is given to Antyodaya cardholders by the state government, while the eligible household is getting 05 kg of food grains per unit.

Apart from this, from December 2021 onwards, the state government is providing food grains as well as 01-liter refined oil, 01 kg pulses, and 01 kg salt.

While 01 kg sugar is also being provided to Antyodaya category families. After the decision of the cabinet, now this scheme has been extended till June 2022.

He became a minister for the first time in the BJP government, and Nitin Agarwal, who joined BJP from SP, was also there. Jitin Prasad and Sandeep Singh were also with them.

Minister of State, Independent Charge, Sandeep Singh said that today is the first cabinet meeting and it is possible that important decisions will be taken in today’s meeting.

Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak also reached to attend the cabinet meeting. Suresh Kumar Khanna and first-time cabinet minister Rakesh Sachan were also present in the meeting.

Significantly, on Friday, the ministers of the BJP government formed for the second time in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took an oath in Lucknow.
