Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan About COVID Death Rate

Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said, the goal of bringing the death rate from corona infection below one percent. Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday that the government is working on the goal of bringing the death rate from Corona to below one percent.

Currently in India, this rate is around 1.64 percent, which is still the lowest in the world. In the Rajya Sabha, Harsh Vardhan said during the discussion that the rate of recovery in the country is currently between 78 and 79 percent. This rate is the best compared to other countries in the world. Even though the number of infected in the country has exceeded 50 lakhs, the number of active cases is less than its percentage.

Vaccine will come by early next year

The Health Minister said that the number of deaths from corona in the country is much lower than in many European countries. At the same time, the government wants to improve the rate of investigation even better than America. He said that there is a possibility that the corona vaccine will be introduced in the country by early next year, but by then people should follow the law of physical distance and also wear masks.

11 lakh checks are being done every day

He said that many foreign experts had feared that by July-August, 300 million people in the country would be infected with corona, of which fifty to sixty people would die. In a country of 135 crore people, we are currently conducting about 11 lakh tests every day. This has been possible due to collective efforts of people against the disease.

Three vaccine trials

Talking about developing the vaccine, he said that the Ministry of Science and Technology, ICMR and pharmaceutical companies are working together on this. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is especially watching this. Three vaccines are currently undergoing Phase II and Phase III trials in the country. India is one of the few countries in the world that has succeeded in isolating the corona virus.

‘Need to develop effective health system’

While addressing a joint meeting of G20 Finance and Health Ministers through video conference, Harsh Vardhan said that the current pandemic and the global crisis arising from it, which is more than ever, requires national and global solidarity.

It is necessary to develop an effective health system

The Union Health Minister stated that international, multi-sectoral collaborative efforts would be needed to reduce the global surge in corona cases so that the health system has sufficient capacity to deal with complex cases. Also, to improve preparedness to deal with the epidemic, it is necessary to develop an effective health system.
