Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya arrived in Kerala: COVID-19 situation in Kerala.

In the total cases of corona reported in India, above 18 thousand only from Kerala, Health Minister Mandaviya arrived to review

A central team led by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya arrived in Kerala on Monday to review the COVID-19 situation in the state.

Kerala is currently reporting more than half of the country’s daily fresh infection caseload.

Kerala on Sunday reported 18,582 new COVID-19 cases, more than half of the total 32,937 fresh coronavirus cases reported across the country on Monday.

The test positivity rate in the southern state stood at 15.11 percent on Sunday.

A Thiruvananthapuram airport official confirmed that the Union minister landed at the airport and proceeded as per schedule.

As per the itinerary, Mandaviya is expected to meet Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and state Health Minister Veena George, and other officials involved in the COVID management in the state in the afternoon.

Thereafter, he is scheduled to visit the Hindustan Latex Limited (HLL) office in Thiruvananthapuram as well as the Government Medical College and Hospital in the state capital before returning to Delhi in the evening.

Mandaviya is accompanied by the director of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) and other senior officials of the health ministry.

The Union Health Ministry released the data on corona infection in India on Monday morning.

According to this, 32,937 new cases of coronavirus were registered in the last 24 hours and 417 infected people died.

At the same time, 35,909 people were cured of corona infection during this period. At present, there are 3,81,947 active cases in the country.
