UK commits £95,000 funding to counter Pro-Khalistan extremism.
Britain bowed down to India, announced funding of 95 thousand pounds to deal with ‘pro-Khalistan extremism’.
Britain’s Security Minister Tom Tugendhat has announced new funding of 95,000 pounds (about one crore rupees) to increase Britain’s capacity to deal with ‘pro-Khalistan extremism’.
This was stated in a readout on Tugendhat’s three-day visit to India, which began on Thursday.

The new funding announcement comes amid growing concerns in India over the growing activities of pro-Khalistani elements in the UK.
Tugendhat is in India to promote bilateral security cooperation and to attend the G-20 Anti-Corruption Ministerial Meeting. The High Commission said.
Countering separatist activities: Britain’s Security Minister Tugendhat said that the living bridge between India and Britain reflects our deep and enduring friendship.
He said that as the world’s oldest and largest democracy, we have many shared opportunities to make the world a safer and more prosperous place.
Tugendhat said the deepening partnership between India and the UK means we can more effectively deal with the security threats we both faceI pledge to collaborate to improve our understanding and capacities in the face of extremism, in whatever shape it may take.”
‘Happy to attend G-20 meeting’: Tugendhat said that he is happy to attend the G-20 meeting.
UK-India collaboration on extremism: Tugendhat will go to CBI headquarters.
Before leaving for Kolkata for the G20 meeting on Saturday, Tugendhat is scheduled to visit the headquarters of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to discuss child sexual abuse and joint challenges arising out of abuse and fraud.
Pro-Khalistan extremism against India: The High Commission said he will also meet National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
