In the Idukki district of Kerala, 24 men of the tribal community have been socially boycotted by the Oorukuttam (tribal council) for eating beef. Eating beef is prohibited in this community.

Police said that the incident took place in the Marayoor forest area of ​​this hilly district.

Officials of the local self-government and tribal department are engaged in resolving the matter through talks with the heads of tribal communities.

No one has lodged any complaint with the police, so no case has been registered in this matter.

Based on the information received from various sources, the police are investigating the matter. All these 24 people had eaten beef after coming out of their huts in the forest, a senior police official said.

When Urukuttam came to know about this, in the meeting of its chiefs, it was decided to socially boycott all these.

All of them have been convicted for violating the age-old tradition and custom of the community.

Attempts to convert children by feeding beef to Christian missionary’s ashram.

A Christian missionary’s Sevadham Bal Ashram in the Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh has been accused of pressurizing children to convert and feeding them beef.

On the complaint of the father of a student, the National Commission for Children has issued a notice to the Superintendent of Police and directed to take action within 48 hours.

According to the information, the matter is on December 5.

It is alleged that the children living in the ashram located in Bararu under Sagar Cantt police station were fed beef.

On his complaint, the parents had reached the Cantt police station to file a report along with social worker Onkar Singh, but the case was not registered.

In the matter, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra said, ‘The matter of feeding beef to children and motivating them to convert has come to notice in Bal Sevadham Ashram of Sagar.

The Superintendent of Police Taran Nayak has been directed to conduct an inquiry.
