Three TMC councilors joined the BJP: West Bengal Assembly Elections 2021. After TMC MLA Jitendra Tiwari, now three of his supporter’s councilors joined BJP.
Three more councilors joined the BJP on Wednesday, the day after former Asansol mayor in Bengal and Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA from Pandeshwar Jitendra Tiwari joined the BJP.
These include two councilors of Kulti municipality and one councilor of Asansol Municipal Corporation.
The three councilors, led by Jitendra Tiwari, held the BJP flag in the BJP’s election office in Kolkata in the presence of state BJP president Dilip Ghosh on Wednesday.
Dilip Ghosh welcomed the three councilors to the party by giving them the BJP flag. Among the councilors joining the BJP are Samadha Pal, Vapi Wheeler, and Amit Tulsian.
Among them, Menasha Pal and Amit Tulsian are councilors of Kulti municipality, while Bapi is a councilor of Asansol Municipal Corporation.
BJP MP from Asansol and Union Minister Babul Supriyo was also present on the occasion. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has again suffered a major setback in the wake of the Assembly elections in Bengal.
Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA from Pandeshwar and former Asansol Mayor Jitendra Tiwari finally joined BJP on Tuesday. He took BJP membership during the meeting of state BJP President Dilip Ghosh at Vaidyabati in Hooghly.
On this occasion, Ghosh welcomed Jitendra Tiwari with the party flag. During this, Tiwari expressed his gratitude to the party for joining the BJP.
He said that Bengal will also undergo change under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. People here want to change. Tiwari also raised slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ from the stage.
During this, Tiwari said that Jai Shri Ram could not speak publicly while staying in TMC, but now I can keep my mind in the BJP. Significantly, Tiwari was a big Hindi-speaking face in TMC.
Especially in the Hindi majority area of Asansol, he has a lot of influence. His joining the BJP is a big setback for TMC. He has also been the president of the West Bardhaman district of TMC.
On the other hand, Dilip Ghosh said that people are joining the party every day. Parivartan Yatra has been going on all over Bengal. Now the change will happen.
We were going to change the party in December itself
It is worth mentioning that Jitendra Tiwari resigned from the Asansol Municipal Corporation Administrator post and party after a dispute with Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim in December last.
It is said that Tiwari was supposed to join BJP in December along with strongman Suvendu Adhikari, but BJP MP from Asansol and Union Minister Babul Supriyo objected to his joining BJP.
After this, Tiwari was forced to live in the Trinamool again. At the same time, the tone of Babylon has changed and after Tiwari joined the BJP, he said that he wants to work together by forgetting old things.
