There Will Be Heavy Rain In UP, Punjab, and Haryana

There will be heavy rain in these areas including UP, Punjab, and Haryana, alert issued for 7-8 January.

With the formation of a Western Disturbance over the plains of North India, rains have started over Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

People had to face rain in these areas since Wednesday morning, due to which the cold has increased further.

According to Skymet Weather, in the coming two days, the rain will disturb the people further. At the same time, there is a possibility of hail in some areas.

Presently very high upper wind pattern is being observed around 7th and 8th January which will result in heavy rains.

Due to such weather activity, there is a possibility of some rain on January 9 as well.

Apart from this, hailstorms can be seen over Delhi along with northern parts of Punjab and Haryana on January 7 and 8.

This could be an alarming situation for these states, which are likely to receive very heavy rainfall and damage to some crops.

At the same time, snowfall has affected life in the hilly states of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

Traffic has come to a standstill at many places. Many villages in Uttarakhand have been cut off. Three feet of snow frozen in Kedarnath.

The Meteorological Department has predicted a cloudy sky in many states for Thursday as well.

At the same time, heavy snowfall in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand and rain in the plains continued on Wednesday. Snowfall occurred on the peaks around Mussoorie.

Due to rain, the mercury has decreased by up to eight degrees Celsius.

Various high mountain areas including Gurez, Gulmarg, Zojila had received snowfall ranging from six inches to two feet till Wednesday evening.

Heavy snowfall on the mountains increased the chill, rain, and snowfall alert for the next three days

Snowfall in the hilly areas and rain in the plains has increased the cold.

The hill states including Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and North Gujarat received rain, which will further disturb the people.

The temperature is expected to drop further due to rain.

On the other hand, snowfall has affected life in the hilly states of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
