A major accident happened in Mangaluru, Karnataka. Five laborers have died due to suffocation in the fish processing unit.
There has been a stir in the administration after the accident. Mangaluru Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar has given this information.
The police commissioner said that the incident took place at the fish processing unit located at Shree Ulka LLP in Mangaluru’s Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
The accident is being told of last evening. He said a laborer fell inside the garbage collection tank and fainted.
He further said, ‘Seven more laborers came down to save the worker who had fallen in the tank. On getting down, the rest of the workers also fainted.
Somehow all the laborers were taken out of the tank and taken to AJ Hospital. Last night, three laborers died of suffocation. Two more laborers died on Monday morning.
All the deceased were residents of West Bengal.

The remaining three laborers are currently undergoing treatment in the hospital. Their condition is said to be out of danger.
Case registered, investigation underway.
Police said that a case has been registered against the manager and supervisor in the case under section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the IPC.
Production Manager Ruby Joseph, Area Manager Kuber Gade, and Supervisors Mohammad Anwar and Farooq have been taken into custody and are being questioned.
Police said that this is a very serious issue as five people have lost their lives.

He also wrote in the letter that it has been observed that the Kerala government gives corona-related data at an interval of five days.
So that the data related to the epidemic, such as infection cases, death toll, and infection rate, may move back and forth.
