The Land Of Afghanistan Should Not Be Used For Terrorism

The land of Afghanistan should not be used for terrorism, S Jaishankar said in the G-20 meeting. Addressing the meeting of foreign ministers of G-20 countries on Afghanistan.

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said the Taliban’s commitment to not allow Afghanistan’s soil to be used for terrorism should be implemented.

The world expects a broad-based, inclusive government in Afghanistan, representing all sections of Afghan society.

He also said that India’s participation will be inspired by its historical friendship with the Afghan people.

The land of Afghanistan should not be used for terrorism: Jaishankar said these things while addressing a meeting on the sidelines of the 76th session of the Mahasabha here.

“The Taliban’s commitment not to allow the use of Afghan soil for terrorism in any way must be implemented,” he said.

The world looks forward to a broad-based inclusive process that includes representation from all sections of Afghan society.

He said that the international community should come together in response to humanitarian needs and be provided with direct access in an unhindered manner.

Speaking on UNSC Resolution 2593, the External Affairs Minister said, it reflects global sentiment and should continue to guide our approach.

India’s participation will be inspired by its historic friendship with the Afghan people.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached America, warmly welcomed by the Indian community.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plane landed at Washington airport amid light rain.

Apart from top US leaders, Indian Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu was also present to welcome him there. There was already a wait for the arrival of the Prime Minister.

In this sequence, outside Joint Base Andrews, a crowd of people holding India’s tricolor in their hands were eagerly waiting before Prime Minister Modi reached Washington DC amid light rain.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted his gratitude to the Indian community in Washington DC for the warm welcome extended to him.

After the airbase, the Prime Minister was taken to a hotel in Washington. There too he was warmly received by the people of the Indian community.

Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla is also in the delegation accompanying Prime Minister Modi.

After reaching there, Shringla tweeted, ‘Hello USA! On his arrival, Prime Minister Modi was greeted by US Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu and Biden administration official Brian McKeon.

The Prime Minister shook hands with the people present outside the airport. This is the seventh US visit of Prime Minister Modi, who took power in India in 2014.
