Vivek Agnihotri’s film The Kashmir Files has become one of the most successful films of Indian cinema. The Kashmir Files is one of the few films whose collections graph has been better in the second week.
Generally, this trend is rarely seen. However, there has been a significant drop in the film’s collections on Thursday.
For the first time after the opening weekend, the film’s collections have gone so low.
Now in the third week, the film is up against SS Rajamouli’s RRR, which is one of the most awaited films of this year. Also a megastar and mega-budget movie.
The Kashmir Files completed its two-week journey in theaters with 7.20 crores on Thursday and the film’s 14-day net collection has now reached 207.33 crores.
The film’s net collections have seen a decline of nearly 30 percent on Thursday as compared to Wednesday. This is the first time after the opening weekend that the film has earned in single digits.

The Kashmir Files has collected 110.03 crores in the second week, which is about 13 percent better than the first week.
If you look at the collections of The Kashmir Files in the second week, then the film had a net collection of 19.15 crores on the second Friday, 24.80 crores on Saturday, 26.20 crores on Sunday, 12.40 crores on Monday, 10.25 crores on Tuesday, and 10.03 crores on Wednesday.

The Kashmir Files was released on March 11 and got an opening of 3.55 crores.
But, after the release, the mouth publicity brought tremendous benefits to the film and collected 8.50 crores on the first Saturday, while on Sunday it collected 15.10 crores.
After this, The Kashmir Files did not look back and collected 97 crores in the first week, earning continuous double digits.

The Kashmir Files crossed several important milestones in two weeks. If we look at the speed of the next film’s collections, it took eight days to reach 100 crores.
But the milestones after that have been achieved quickly. It took only 5 days for the film to reach from 100 crores to 200 crores.
75 cr – 6 days.
100 cr – 8 days.
150 cr – 10 days.
175 cr – 11 days.
200 cr – 13 days.
Screens had doubled in the second week.
The Kashmir Files was launched on March 11 as a limited release on only 650 screens.
But in view of the popularity of the film’s buzz in the opening weekend itself, the number of screens was increased to 2700 on the fourth day, out of which 2500 screens domestic and 200 screens.
The screens were overseas. With mouthful publicity, social media, and political support, The Kashmir Files grew with each passing day.
The result was that on March 18, the screens were increased to 4350 in the second week. In the second week, the film ran on 4000 screens in Des and 350 in Overseas.
However, now the release of RRR in the third week has affected the screens of the film and is running on 3250 screens in the third week, out of which 2800 are in the country and 450 overseas.

Now in the third week, The Kashmir Files will have to compete with SS Rajamouli’s film RRR, which has hit the theaters today, March 25. It is originally a Telugu film but is also being released extensively in the Hindi belt.
The film stars Ram Charan and NTR Jr in lead roles, while Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and Shriya Saran will be seen in pivotal roles.
